I'm writing to let folks know that over the last three weeks Joe Thomas has been seriously ill. He has had two emergency surgeries, one to remove a section of his colon and another to address a blockage in his small intestine. He remains in the hospital and is waging a really tough battle. How do I respect the value of being a part of the Order Ecumenical? It recreated who I thought I was, recreated the stage on which I played my life out and gave meaning to the tasks at hand. I am immensely grateful for the journey of consciousness that was made possible by the work that JWMathews catalyzed and every person's contribution to the venture. My gratitude to everyone who participated in this journey before JWM was born and after his death.

Tibia. I’m about to get my beginners license for my wheelchair. I am currently in Terra Bella, a senior living facility in Greensboro, NC. It has excellent physical therapy!! The instigating reason for my hospitalization was my Zenkers divererticulum, which flared up again in June with no warning ( it was surgically dealt with in 2009). I had no warning. No pain. I choked and the rest is history. Now I am on a pureed diet – although I widely interpret that. No date has been set for the necessary surgery yet. Searching for a paper

For whatever reason, I am being pushed to reconsider the other world. I found a paper by Tillich (see attached) and I remember a paper, I believe by Niebuhr called "We live in 2 worlds" or something that we studied. Anyone recall?? Have a copy?? I checked the Global Research Network website and also the online data base and was unable to find it. Of course, now that I am 78, I have to wonder . .. did it actually exist? Thanks for any help. And, how are you all doing?? Over the past 6 weeks, I have been much reminded of one of the Old Testament readings from the daily office in RS-1 Amos 5:18-24. We fled from the heat in Arizona (114 avg in July) to Colorado and a tornado met us. We returned to Arizona and Hurricane Hillary just missed us. We went to a niece's wedding in Oregon and the venue was changed due to a wildfire evacuation order. Now we are back in Arizona, but a brother- and sister-in-law are stuck at an airport in Charlotte because of Hurricane Idalia . . . Jim Wiegel Theunknown is what is.
