I would add Original Blessing by Matthew Fox as key book for the 21st Century spiritual awaking.

Will respond but may take a week or so. I received an email from Gene and he said he was developing a list for descendants of Joe Matthews. That casts some light on why he chose the books he did.
I looked at the heading “A Mini-Library for a 21st Century Spirit Movement” and didn’t see that as calling for books from our people but rather as books we would choose if we were again going to build the essential library for a 21st Century Spirit Movement. So when I respond I will be thinking about the books that have come to mean a lot to me and guide me in the 21st century.
I would be interested in what you and others would put on such a list. So also please send the names of a few books you would put on the list.

What would be your model for developing such a list?

This would not be my list.

Dear Old Colleagues and New Acquaintances,
I want you to have and reflect upon the following reviews of some of the visionary writing that expresses our common experience. My hope is that this overview can generate additional commonality and consensus building among us.
For a viable and flourishing humanity on planet Earth
and a vital resurgence of Christian practice,
