James, thank you for the white paint. It was the only reason I could believe I could live in that space.

The Addington's were the first to live in that coal bin - 2 adults and 3 small children. We painted the bin white. Anytime someone hosed off the veranda, we got wet. We were the 1st priors of the Atlanta House; such housing assignments were common among us in those years.

When the Knutsons lived in the Atlanta House, we were assigned to live in the coal bin. Can you top that?

I remember George Sisler, but never really knew him. But...speaking of a bank vault...George and I were assigned to live in a bank vault in 5th City one quarter. We have lived in a lot of different places, but the bank vault takes the prize. We could not have fit an RS-1 group in there, though!

George Sisler . . . This from the Chicago Tribune September, 1992: George F. Sisler, 95, had a career in Chicago that uniquely spanned banking, business, religion and politics. Mr. Sisler, a business consultant and retired vice president of First National Bank of Chicago, was the Republican candidate for city treasurer in 1967. He served as the first lay president of the Church Federation of Greater Chicago, was elected an Illinois state representative at large in 1964 and was past president of the United Nations Association of Illinois. I just remember the name, never met him. I wonder if Doris Hahn knows anything, or maybe someone who were area priors in Chicago?? There is also a story about holding an RS-1 in the vault of the First National Bank that might be relevant.
