You're right Tim. That picture was taken crossing the Nile into Bayad. I could not remember the name of the man or the local woman in the photo, but I am the woman on the left. The time period was actually earlier in the '70's, as I was assigned there early in the consult for the El Bayad HDP. The man with glasses in the 6th picture (c31210.jpg) with two women is John Dettmann, Susan Dettmann Wegner's father. That was a surprise! This picture was likely taken on a boat crossing the Nile in Egypt dating to when Susan and I were assigned to Bayad (1978-1982), and her parents were visiting.
