Fortunately for Donald Trump, God was paying him special attention in Butler, PA, when he managed the miracle of guiding that bullet around Trump's head so that it just grazed his ear, while killing the heroic MAGA firefighter who made the tragic mistake of sitting behind The Donald.Apparently God had to make that bullet land somewhere. It's called collateral damage. And obeying the laws of physics.And we can forget about saving the shooter Mr. Crooks to be tried by a jury of his peers. The Secret Service sharpshooter dispatched him with one federal bullet that was way cheaper than the cost of granting his right to a trial by jury and incarceration.So just what was God doing on that bright afternoon in Butler?A few people need to believe that God saved Donald Trump as part of his divine plan to usher him back into the White House.But if God needs to do that now, why did he let Trump lose the 2020 election?I prefer to believe in human freedom and divine detachment from fiddling around with creation.Since Trump's life was saved from the assassin's wayward bullet, perhaps it was so he could have the experience of American criminal justice imposed in an orange jumpsuit.You could call that divine retribution for his sins.
