 While Joe Biden is on the way out of power, we are stuck with the self-preservation efforts of the MAGA majority of the Supreme Court.The worst thing Biden ever did was letting Justice Thomas grab his lifetime seat on the Court. Now we can all regret that outcome.So this is Biden's SCOTUS swan song, and a major shift for him, if not a full mea culpa.Chief Justice Roberts' Rules of Ethical Order are, at best, a spongy set of suggestions rather than enforceable standards of conduct.And Justices Thomas et al. are the Kings of Capitol Hill until Biden's poposed new Constitutional Amendment can curb their enthusiasm for legislating from the bench.Meanwhile, Justice Thomas will stay on the job until he can no longer exercise his tyrannical power, or resign in favor of a much younger MAGA successor that President Trump will nominate, should he return to the Oval Office, thereby confirming the unhinged autocracy of the Court for another quarter century.That threat alone is reason enough to deny Mr. Trump another term.Even if you are a traditional Republican who feels stuck with two unpalatable choices!Marshall Jones_______________________________________________
