Re: [Oe List ...] OE Digest, Vol 58, Issue 35
Am a nasty human. But not in despair. Nor is the earth dying just because my efforts had not been that effective to clean the trash. Sent John C a separate answer to his query. Along with this article coming up in the Marianas Variety, Jan. 30: Obamacare It was titled Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of2010, but popularly referred to as Obamacare that includes some 400 health insurance andhealthcare industry provisions on care that had to do with caring forone’s well-being. That it was titled Obamacare gives the impression that the“care” came first before the issue of affordability was considered. Indeed, the number of reforms provided zeroedin on the area of care before the issue of affordability was relevant. Being the practical man of Manhattan, The Donald, of course, looks at it first on its affordability, and decided early on that no one, eitherthe patients or the health industry, could afford the provisions. Sectors of Congress identified to a certaintype of conservatism they feel The Donald could promote, wants to scrape thewhole Act. That’s when congressionalmembers run into the “care” provisions and Ryan called the WH quickly for help. It is neither a fault of one side or the other, though TheDonald’s past rhetoric makes it appear like it is; the slogan in the WH hassuddenly become, “To Make America Sane Again”. In fact, the question of factual and alternative views has gotten Jesusidolatress Kenneyanne Conway, along with Chief of Staff Reince Priebus of Wisconsin, and Press Secretary Sean Spicer, into not-too-cool waters. Advisers have become anxious on their firstday. Trump’s assist was a question to the women who protested hisadministration in Washington and around the country where they were during theelection, and why they didn’t go out and vote. A witty answer came back: they did; that’s where the almost 3 millionvotes Hillary held ahead on the popular vote came from. Newt Gingrich, the ex-Georgia Congressman and RepublicanSpeaker of the House, adviser to the current WH resident, wanted Madonnaarrested for her outburst during the Washington Women’s March where she said: “Ihave thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House.” An incendiary remark, if there was one, butcoming from the not-so-fragrant mouth lady, “blowing” could be construed assomething else. Newt and third wife, Callista, wrote of rediscovering Godand making a renewal since the whole of Washington and all throughout Americanhistory is premised on the belief of a God in heaven that deigns tell a peopleand create a nation in its image. Nottoo bad a thought but since the earthrise of 1968, the truth is on the reverse, anthropomorphic language we once used on the deity was meant more about thepromise of humanity on Earth than the adulation of a Santa in the Sky. Newt would not agree to that but so won’tConway, and though the Congressman is more intellectual about beliefs andfaith, Kelleyanne has already gone on record as attributing the election of TheDonald to her faith in Jesus! Go Iesu! Maybe I should run for office. Seriously, I took Obamacare as the courage to care by anation, but we are now checking which provision we can afford rather than decidingwhich care is to be decisively dealt with. Affordability of insurance and services didnot make the business community or the practitioners of medical therapy unhappysince they already dominated the money sector of the economy anyway. Obamacare was about the courageto care, enumerating benefits for women, coverage of young adults, strengtheningMedicare, and holding Insurance companies accountable to the public; but careis now reduced to counting pennies on the first day of the Trump’s watch. Newt (not my type of a politician, in context, style, andcontent) was, however, to the point: Trump will be kept in place if he can keepAmerica safe, and add US jobs to the market. Trumps sense of keeping America safe is to keep Whitey in charge andbuilding a fence so those bloody Latinos won’t come and mess up the racialmake-up. Defending America is high onthe priority but keeping America isolated is not going to do the job. This leads to the second category - adding jobs to themarket. Forbes list of the richest folksin America is led by Bill Gates of Microsoft, Jeff Bezos of Amazon, WarrenBuffett of Berkeshire Hathaway, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, Larry Ellison ofOracle, Michael Bloomberg of Bloomberg LP, the brothers Charles and David Kockof oil, Larry Page and Sergey Brin of Google, all directly relates to orutilizes the digital world that is a global enterprise. American manufacturing workers are notprepared to handle the keyboard. Most digital technicians in Saipan areJapanese, Koreans, Pilipinos, and Chinese. Spicer was asked during his Press Conference what thestatistics on unemployment in America was, and he fudged. The “alternative view” on comparisons ofaerial photos to the attendance count during the Trump inauguration gainedSpicer a noisy audience. He did saylater that Trump “sees people that are hurting” and “it is not just number tohim,” the president is “not focused on statistics” but “if people are doingbetter off.” It is time to let Trump be Trump. wangzhimu2031 earthrise consciousness, a gift; earthbound commitment, my choice yesterday, appreciate; tomorrow, anticipate; today, participate! in all, celebrate! -----Original Message----- From: via OE <oe@lists.wedgeblade.net> To: oe <oe@lists.wedgeblade.net> Sent: Tue, Jan 24, 2017 1:55 pm Subject: OE Digest, Vol 58, Issue 35 Send OE mailing list submissions to oe@lists.wedgeblade.net To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://lists.wedgeblade.net/listinfo.cgi/oe-wedgeblade.net or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to oe-request@lists.wedgeblade.net You can reach the person managing the list at oe-owner@lists.wedgeblade.net When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of OE digest..." If the Woman's March is any indication, this was not an act of despair, though media wants to paint it that way; it was an assertive declaration of selfhood. We are the ones dying, grasping at the last straw for our maneuvers that did not quit make the results we wanted it to make. Trump will fumble and stumble, but we've got him for four years. Bad and good are our choices. There is just trump. And there is just this age. The Earth will survive, and everyone has a choice to make: hope or despair.
