I am working a list problem for Sarah Buss that prevents her from posting to the lists from her Apple email. If you see this message, then it means we have found a workaround. Simply send list mail to oe@wedgeblade.net instead of oe@lists.wedgeblade.net. Also, a reminder that the list doesn't like too many cc addresses when you post. The list gets a lot of these around the holidays when people send out holiday greetings to all their contacts. Susan and I are doing great. I am still ambulatory and remember who I'm married to!! :-) Tim

I believe that the "correct" addresses for the two lists are oe@lists.wedgeblade.net and dialogue@lists.wedgeblade.net. However the convenience emails oe@wedgeblade.net and dialogue@wedgeblade.net can be used by anyone, not just Sarah. Folks who have Apple emails MUST use the convenience emails to successfully post. There may be others. I have a question similar to the one you asked in to Dreamhost support. I want to know what they consider official, and if Apple's behavior is wrong. It is also true that Dreamhost could solve the problem of working nice with Apple themselves. I am not sure what the standard is. I now invoke my powers as OE List Tyrant, and hereby declare that further discussion of this technical topic be taken off list. Feel free to email me privately. In other words, I AM BUILDING AN IMPENETRABLE WALL AROUND THIS TOPIC!!! SO THERE! ONLY CRIMINALS AND RAPISTS WILL CONTINUE TO POST ON THIS TOPIC! 😇 If I discover that the convenience emails might as well be used by everyone, I will change the handy footer found at the bottom of every list message that says where to post.
