The San Joaquin Diocese was one of the 4 that split off. It was even more conservative than Pittsburgh. They still refused to consider ordaining women. The Episcopal Church itself seems to be doing just fine, including attracting not only those supportive of LGBT people and women, but also a fair number of disenchanted ex-Catholics, particularly from Latin America.
