Sad news. Frank was a great teacher and human to the core. I had the privilege of being his roommate for two months during the Order’s 1968 RS-1 teaching/formulation trip to the UK and Europe. This trip concluded with a two week research segment in Communist east Europe countries visiting church officials and various EI contacts. It was just after Dubchek’s ouster by the Russians in the Fall of ‘68. Frank’s leadership, courage, teaching, and intentionality were awesome. He will be missed. They were at his Texas home. The funeral will be held there among his family friends perhaps as early as tomorrow. At a later date, a memorial service will be held in Chicago. As more information will be posted once it becomes known.
