Loisaida is the neighborhood project around the NYC House at the corner of 4th St & Avenue A, the one in the Catholic school in the Lower East Side. Charlene & Ike Powell were priors there. I think I recognize some of the community leaders, and even my handwriting on one of the cards. Although I don’t recall any cinderblock walls there. I think the Trues may have been in WDC at the time, but of course NYC & WDC worked closely with each other. That is Sandra True in the 3rd pic, with her back to the camera.
