Adventures of Joe Biden Joe Biden decided to run again Though his flawed first attempt had ended in pain A second run faltered in twenty O eight Which most likely helped his political fate Obama asked Joe to be his Vice President Joe Biden said “Yes!” To the White House he went The economy was teetering on the brink of recession Joe helped Barack stave off a depression Joe Biden’s campaign was going down Then in South Carolina he turned it around. Joe Biden went on to win nomination Amidst a pandemic gripping the nation His opponent was nasty, he trumpeted proudly He threatened and blustered and shouted loudly “I’ll beat you Joe Biden—I’ll trample you under” “I’ll eat you alive—I’ll tear you asunder” Joe Biden, Joe Biden didn’t worry Joe Biden didn’t scream or scurry He just kept going, he wasn’t all hesitant He just got elected our forty-sixth President. The original Isabel was a little girl who met a ravenous bear, an ugly witch, a one-eyed giant, and a despairing doctor and used her “magic” powers to win out in the end. I am continuing to use my poetic license with a nod to Ogden Nash in the Adventures of Joe Biden.
