I wasn’t in Chicago that next summer so I have no idea what Joe may have said, but there were some other kerfuffels along the way. Joe was coming from Kawangware to Rome to celebrate the initiation of the Trastevere project. He arrived. He declared that we were not doing another urban project and told us to start making another plan. That was on Saturday and we had an open house planned for Sunday with more than 20 religious orders coming. He changed his tickets and left Sunday morning, even before his luggage lost in Khartoum had caught up with him. It was a steep learning curve. He said first we tried to do a whole nation with the selection of Majuro in the Marshall Islands and then we tried to do a whole island with Jeju Do. We finally got the size right after that, but it is part of our history in discovery of what is the right size for an HDP.
