Yes, but the good seeds show up at the end- it takes time for them to show up--took a babe in the manager. On Wed, Jan 8, 2025 at 6:37 PM James Wiegel via Dialogue < dialogue@lists.wedgeblade.net> wrote:

Umm, just a guess, but I think they are talking about the ‘second coming,’ post-resurrection in the story. Check out the Apostle’s Creed, etc. The construct of history in the classical confessons has an endpoint. Interestingly, the word for ‘end’ in Greek is the same as ‘purpose,’ and the same as ‘perfect’ or ‘finished’ – telos. Where we get teleology or – well, what is your end purpose? We can talk about the perspective that the end/purpose of history is grace, transparency, compassion, forgiveness, responsibility – no matter what it looks like now. ‘eschatology’ comes from the Ancient Greek words éschatos ("last") and -logía ("the study of"). Last can also mean ‘ultimate.’ FWIW Bill Schlesinger From: Dialogue <dialogue-bounces@lists.wedgeblade.net> On Behalf Of Randy Williams via Dialogue Sent: Thursday, January 9, 2025 1:49 PM To: Colleague Dialogue <dialogue@lists.wedgeblade.net> Cc: Randy Williams <randycw1938@gmail.com> Subject: Re: [Dialogue] Octavia Butler's "Earthseed" series, "Parable of the Sower, and "Parable of the Talents".
