A story about Chandra Joshi's guesthouse ... I was staying for several days in the guesthouse (as I recall, I think it was behind his home), probably while Kevin Boivin & I were facilitating a LENS with the Kohlapur Engineering Society. My father was a jeweler, and of course I treasured any jewelry that he created for me. I was wearing a very nice tourmaline necklace while in Joshi's guesthouse. Somehow in the course of living there, the necklace flew somewhere in the room. And of course I searched for it. But Professor Joshi had piles of files along one wall, and I just couldn't dismantle the guesthouse to the extent that it seemed to require. And so I left that sweet tourmaline necklace there & have always hoped that whoever found it would appreciate the gift.
