Dear Susan,

There is nothing about the current Republican Party that has a global context.

As a Canadian who has relied on America and NATO for European and Asian power balances, despots will win across the world with a like-minded US president.

As in loving my neighbour, Susan, Trumps protectionism will raise the price in Canada of just everything by 10%. Your Californian food is on this list. It is the poor of our country who will bear this most of all. They will suffer immensely.

Never mind the plight of women. This ‘gab them by the pussy’ candidate to lead the world is, well, you supply the descriptor.

I’m guessing that your life-long Republicanism is non-negotiable. For those who imagine 'the church as a social pioneer', and those of us committed to loving our neighbour, I value your participation. With each of your posts, I can revisit this commitment.
