We cannot understand the pain you and colleagues must be going through in the USA.I thought I'd send a message from the place"down under".In the early 1980's John and I worked with Marsha in Hong Kong with EI/ICA.
We, in Australia are almost at the end of National Reconciliation Week 2020 - (27th May - June 3rd).May 27th 1967 - Yes Vote The FIrst Peoples in Australia were counted.                                      Prior to this vole the First Nation peoples were counted under Flora and Fauna for any Census purpose!May 28th 1996  National Reconciliation Week launched in Sydney 1992  till May 3rd.June 3rd 1992  -  MABO Day  - Eddi Quoiki Mabo had campaigned for decades to have his Island in the Torres Strait to be his legalised land, overturning Terra Nulius = "land empty".  

This year we're celebrating the Bridge Walks held across Australia in June 2000. John and I, along with a spunky, young, Aboriginal business woman were the 'Australians for Reconciliation' team - NSW which was located in Sydney.   The major task was to invite people to the Sydney Bridge Walk along with help from many volunteers.  300,000 people walked across in support towards knowing and understanding Australia's true history.
Now the focus is towards the Uluru Statement from the Heart Convention held at Uluru with 250 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples contributing to this document.   Its a really beautiful piece of writing.Google Uluru Statement.
