CALL TO ALL 10 10 2018
“Give me land, lots of land, under starry skies above—Don’t fence me in!” Ah yes Texas, you didn’t think you were immune from the color blue and reducing the gender gap, did you? I just donated to these three women with super powers (to take back Congress) and hope you Texans will get on their chuck wagons!

Lizzie Fletcher (D)
Lawyer
Fletcher won a bitter Democratic primary over activist Laura Moser in a district that party leaders are hoping to flip in November. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee published opposition research on Moser, who still made it to a runoff election against Fletcher but was unable to build momentum during the next two months. Fletcher is a first-time candidate. She faces a male opponent in the general election.

TEX. 31ST DISTRICT
Competitive race
MJ Hegar (D)
Former Air Force pilot
Hegar served three tours in Afghanistan and later successfully lobbied the Obama administration to lift the ban on women serving in combat. In a viral introductory ad, she shows viewers how she opened “doors” throughout her career, facing many that slammed in her face. Behind one closed door was her now-opponent, Rep. John Carter, who she says in the ad she tried to lobby to lift the combat ban.
Hegar is a first-time candidate. She faces a male opponent in the general election.
