A couple of people have enquired about the flood situation in Kerala
This article has been written and published by my cousin's son Vivek George
who lives and works in Kochi, Kerala.
Personally, I think that the task of rehabilitation is a grassroots task
that is likely to take 30 to 40-years if we treat Mother Earth kindly and
work collaboratively.
I share this because we have a great deal to learn about tragedies and how
we can work together to address the immediate issues and work on long-term
solutions. It is the task of cultural re-orientation and recreating
paradigms that demonstrate our interdependence.
May we have the grace to listen carefully, learn well and work
collaboratively for our common well being,
Mary
