Dear Leslie,

I appreciate your sharing with us, but am sorry to hear of the
painful situation of Neva. I appreciate how hard this has been for you and
your brother as well. I worked with your mom in Chicago for a while --
part of the "work out crew." I enjoyed knowing and working with her, but
had lost touch with her over time.

I send my thoughts and prayers to you, your brother, and your mom,
for peace and well-being. Someone mentioned your mom's spirit shining
through current conditions, which is the first thing that came to my mind
as I read your letter.

         Grace, peace and love,

Joyce Bonafield-Pierce
Minneapolis, Minnesota
