It's been almost 40 years ago since John and I and our two boys were assigned to Australia.  I remember arriving in Sydney in Sept. in the cold of the "down under" winter into the house in Red Fern, as I recall.  Rob and Ann were among the folks who welcomed us so warmly, and shared warmer garments with us until  our bodies acclimated to that drastic climate change and different style of heating.

We recall Rob and Ann's gentle spirit of care  to our young family, and their caring leadership as work with the HDP's was expanding while work with the Local Church experiment was in transition.

We send greetings and sympathy to Ann and family, and to so many colleagues in Australia. What an amazing global fellowship and mission we enjoyed together, beginning with the Duffy's assignment to 5th City several years prior to our assignment in Australia.

We will be with you in spirit on Rob's memorial day.  We celebrate his pioneering life shared with so many.
