[Dialogue] [Oe List ...] A Path Forward conversation

Your earlier post about the scope of the "movement of movements" is quite helpful in imaging what is going on.  I think what Bill Parker is wrestling with is how to catalyze something more across these fronts -- his intuition is to find a way to connect them across their various missions and campaigns with a.  some personal contact, b. some focus on more local geography, and c.  some experiential sense of the human suffering of folks in their communities -- particularly the awesome sense of isolation/aloneness so present in our world -- who do I talk to?
I am thinking that the "movement of movements" needs somehow to be expanded to include the movements who are fighting more to keep things as they are --  I don't really know -- my neighbor took down the trump flag he had hoisted below the US flag . . . and replaced it with a confederate flag.  Hmm

Good to hear from you, Jim. It was wonderful being with dear colleagues some of whom I have not seen for many, many years.
Yes, there is much to cry about these days. And also smile and laugh about. And most of all to be grateful for - the gifts of life, awareness, and love.
How can the paradigm of a movement of movements help in mobilizing energy to create a more compassionate, ecologically sound world?

Subject: Re: [Dialogue] [Oe List ...] A Path Forward conversation Thank you, Rob.  For an old guy you are really good!  Seems to me weeping is a good response we should do more of.  I can remember from time to time tears appearing in my Grandmother's eyes.
When we were living at the ICA centre in Brussels, Robert Gilman came to visit.  He was the founder and editor of In Context magazine which became YES! Later.  We were talking in our room of all the creative (I called them "alternative" approaches) at large on the planet and how exciting they all were and how much I appreciated In Context for the reporting it was doing of these alternatives.
"No, no," Robert said.  "We are not interested in alternatives.  We are spelling out and highlighting the NEW MAINSTREAM."  "Like Voluntary Simplicity," I said.  "More like voluntary complexity" He replied.
In reading your work on MOM, I found myself wanting to edit out "can" and replace the verb with "is" . . .

This Saturday Sunny Walker will be facilitating a conversation addressing the question
"What role doshared narratives and cultural continuity play in engagement?"
as it becomes clearer that collapse i.e. withdrawal, does not answer the call to engage in doing the necessary deed of addressing the innocent suffering in our moment.

Dear Bill,

I’m praying for your gathering by Zoom- not sure of the time difference for me here in Australia, however thank you for your

responsible action on behalf of…

I am also unsure if my first email arrived in  your inbox- so here is this note.

Please put me on the discussion of your insights as they are formed.

Resilience and love for humankind in a new way will shine though.

Thank you to Randy and Dharma for shining the' horrid light 'John Wesley spoke about-  the 'healing light' will come in God’s

Economy of time.

With love in Jesus the Christ,
