[Dialogue] [Oe List ...] Dan Tuecke surgery

Thanks, Lee.

Dan, to use a good Southern phrase "bless his heart" (and all Southerners
know what that really means), has had a tough row to hoe for some time now.
Maybe now that we have our global prayer group going, he'll turn out as well
as you have after they fixed your head! (:>). He was the first one to help
me go from a shy, retiring Okie girl to more of my true self - though some
today might say I went too far and fall into the GCB category (Good
Christian you-know-whats) on occasion. Working on a kinder, gentler wit
these days.

Blessings all around - a hug to Leah from me,

Sunny

Dan did not go into surgery. His blood thinner is doing too good a job.
The surgeon insists that his blood must be thicker before he performs back
surgery to fuse L-11 through L-15. Thicker blood increases the risk of more
blood clots in his legs and elsewhere. His surgery has been scheduled for
this evening at 9:00 (Monday). He is on a constant morphine drip with self
administered bump every 15 minutes. Morphine will be another problem post
surgery so he is looking at a rough row to hoe for some weeks to come.

That's almost all I know. You don't want to know the rest.

Lee

leg. He has no control of his thigh muscle and his foot drops. He wears a
brace sometimes and walks with 2 canes to help him stay balanced. From lack
of normal walking and exercise he developed blood clots, a deep vein

because of great pain in his back. Tonight he will have surgery on his
spine. He has excellent medical care here at Renown Medical Center, but when
they are messing with your spine it's a bit scary. His surgeon is excellent,
very good reputation and we expect a good outcome.
