Can anyone remember the words to the song with the tune, "If I were a rich man?" and the words "Oneness of all creation wholly engulfed..." , or the title and directions to find it? I have four songbooks here and can't find it in any of them. this does not mean they are not therre, actually, but my eyes did not see them. Judi White
IN THE WORLD OF SPIRIT Tune:If Were ARich Man Inthe world of spirit, radically contingent, trustful expectation, intense shock Life'simpacted by the mystery, and it's all a cloud of awe! Inthe world of spirit, revelation of enigma, wheel of fortune, noexcuse Oneessential task, create the world, sudden reeling, mystery's won theday. Oneness of all creation, wholly engulfed in marching with all of history, Binding the wounds of time, everything's worthwhile. The other world you seethrough all and move mountains, and there's none to show the way, All in love with life and allpoured out. Inthe world of spirit, resurrectional existence, gloriously condemnedto waltz. Rapturewalks with woe, struck dumb by bliss, playing in a symphony. Inthe world of spirit, irresistibly impelled, and simply all a‑tinglenow Runningon an endless marathon, sudden reeling, mystery's won the day. Repeat2nd and 3rd verses through "all a‑tingle now" Coda: Runningon an endless marathon, suddenly deciding I'm the one Runningon an endless marathon, Mystery has won the day. Great to rehearse those special words. Any recollections of how it was written? Research Centrum? Was it a cabaret song? Or penned by one of our anonymous poets? Thank you Judi and Jim!!! What fond memories of our corporate singing I enjoyed today, as I sang those cleverly constructed phrases and experienced them flowing so trippingly off my tongue! On Tue, Feb 4, 2025, 8:05 PM Isobel and Jim via OE <oe@lists.wedgeblade.net> wrote:
