Request for prayers for Bill Grow
Dear Colleagues, I just learned from Nan Grow that Bill has recently (July 6th) undergone a hernia operation that led to complications, subsequent care in three different hospitals, and currently therapy to help restore movement in his left leg presumably caused by nerve damage during surgery. Although Bill, in his always-intentional-caring style, baked a 58th Wedding Anniversary (which is next week) cake in his therapy session; frosted it and called Nan in to come and deliver a slice to all the friends in their residential community, an event he enjoyed; he later expressed to Nan some deep concern about his hoped-for recovery. And for the first time Nan can remember, "he asked for prayers for himself." At Nan's request, and on behalf of the Grow family, long part of our "beloved community," I invite you to offer your prayers for healing energy, comfort, courage and peace in whatever way appropriate. Additionally, will you send well wishes (and visits if you are nearby) to Bill and Nan via the following contact points, where Bill expects to be for at least another month. Bill: Wooster Building 406, Masonicare, 22 Masonic Avenue, Wallingford, CT 06492. Cell: 203-599-5774 Nan: 65 Masonic Avenue, Apt 215, Wallingford, CT 06492. Phone: 203-265-5767 Joe and I send our wishes of Grace, Peace and Love, to all of us (at whatever age) who are "growing older, but who are making the effort to not grow old." Marilyn
