I had the privilege of meeting her once in Janesville (?) WI when I was at the Madison House. An extraordinarily humble women. In this spring of ’77, I was at Delta Pace Mississippi when her funeral was held nearby. Maybe Frank & Sandy attended. In ’63 I was a SNCC fundraiser in Ottawa. That’s when I first heard of her. What a gift. Ken

Friends,
We invite you to watch and listen to a conversation. It is a ‘modern dialogue sermon,’ embedded in a Sunday, November 22nd worship service, on Youtube.
The link above will take you to the service; the conversation begins at 19:00 minutes and continues to 43:20. Fast-forwarding to 19:00 is possible.
This ‘chat’ between Andy Dunning and Rahdearra Paris Woods is precious. Be prepared to spend a half hour worth your time.
It is helpful to use the feature “CC” (Closed Captions) because Andy and Rah are speaking through their Covid masks.
Hope you find the chat to be as informative and inspirational as we did. In 1979, we spent six months in Mississippi working on a statewide “Town Meeting” program through the office of then-Governor Cliff Finch. We experienced life-threats and felt connected to a higher cause, but, in retrospect, nothing like the experiences of Fannie Lou.
Mississippi needed a miracle to adopt its new flag with the Magnolia replacing the Confederate flag...
Blessings,
