Remember Donald Trump? Well, as of today, he's still running! Sort of. So just why did The Donald give an emergency press conference yesterday from the Mar-a-lago ballroom? In short, it's self-destructive, malignant, delusionary narcissism propped up by political sycophants who do know better and armies of gullible MAGA worshippers who would rather believe Trump's Repugnant lies than confront their own personal truth. Or, a bit more prosaically, what's our model? Strategy and tactics? Moral purity? Withdraw into 'sides?' Expel the bad folk from our circles? Vision, contradictions, tactics? Mine: build local structures that address local challenges in as wide a context as possible. Mitigate tribalism and scapegoating where I see openings.
