Isobel, It is also reminiscent of Parker Palmer’s insight that your calling is where your deep joy intersects with the world’s deep need, or Joseph Campbell’s invitation to “follow your bliss.” All these writers seem to imply one way or another that you don’t find your calling, your calling finds you. All this Osprey mentioning brought back a memory.... Around 1973 there was a LENS at the YWCA in downtown Minneapolis. Wiegel and myself were on the team, I don't recall the other two folks. At one point Wiegel gave a great performance of an osprey flying across the front of the room - to the great delight of the participants. I can still see him in my mind's eye....
