Jim-- Did you get what you needed on the "Bug" Model? I've used it until nearly drove me buggy. I can include something with the other things I'm sending you on the Presure Points/Whistle Points/Whatever. The latest reference to the BUG model, in an ICA publication, is from the New York Roundtable Manual 1981. Paul Noah remembered the shape of the BUG model while he was creating the GARA symbol without referring to the content. “In the 1981 July Council this model was re-articulated to reflect the current movemental thrust as: the word Study pointing to deepening movemental leadership prowess; the word Symbol pointing to deepening the self-conscious journey of the spirit; declaration (Witnessing Love) pointing to eventful proclamation of hope; and manifestation (Justing Love) pointing to four-sector structural engagement. The common Discipline will involve the forming and convenanting of Global Regional Teams.” (Transcribed from ROUNDTABLE manual, New York, 1981-82). Well, thanks, Bill. On the bug model, turns out the question really had to do with creating a context in sustainability for social pioneering. Though no one helped me to connect the bug model with the local church triangles which were developed later and don't seem to correspond.
