Dear Lynda and John, Happy Birthday to John! Recently we read aloud a few pages from your *By Cosmic Design - Spirit Poems 1974-2006,* from its place in the bedside table. We talked about writing to you both to thank you for all the years you sent us great guides for the journey. Several are tacked up on kitchen cupboards and bulletin boards. So a deep thank you for helping to point us on this amazing struggle to be faithful to the goodness of the universe. We recall the last time we saw John was the RS-I in Seattle and I think you were at the University Temple United Methodist Church ---- Maybe early 2000s? We are blessed to have these long lives and we are doing quite well and look forward to celebrating Fred's 101th birthday with a family zoom call! Blessings of peace and love, Marian and Fred Karpoff [image: unnamed-1.jpg] On Mon, Dec 18, 2023 at 9:26 AM Lynda C via OE <oe@lists.wedgeblade.net> wrote:

[image: PXL_20220716_232347208.MP.jpg] Photo taken last summer (2022) in Davidsonville, NC. Dear John, We celebrate with you and the family your special landmark birthday! 85! Well done! We have appreciated your leadership, guidance, spirit prowess and bold challenges since we first met you over 50 years ago! We still remember the time you put our dear, dear first born (Chris) who was probably one year old on the top of the file cabinet at the Washington DC house and told him to "Jump"! "Trust" you said, "I will catch you." And he did and so did you. Our hearts were in our throats but from then on, challenge us you did. Please enjoy this special day and your dear amazing family. The journey has been more than extraordinary! Thanks for everything. Love, Jack, Louise and Peter Ballard On Mon, Dec 18, 2023 at 12:26 PM Lynda C via OE <oe@lists.wedgeblade.net> wrote:
