Herman, The worship acts are three, not four. Confession - Praise - Dedication. There are sub-components, like the types of prayers etc., but these are the three acts we talked about. Jack On Jul 22, 2012, at 9:14 AM, Herman Greene wrote:

Gilles is correct. There are only three acts of worship--we are/were Trinitarian, remember. However, added are the sub-acts of the Prelude and the Postlude. These five steps were the format we used in our Lecture Building and as a part of Imaginal Education. "Ever onward, ever deeper." Herman, You are right: there are four parts of worship: Thanksgiving, Confession,Praise and Dedication or commitment. We never began worship without dirst acknowledgement of who we pray, then confession of our unworthiness for alll we have received, which leads us to remember not only the goodness of our own lives but the amazing creative love of God, which in turn calls for our dedication or commitment. Thanks for asking, from one of the early writers of liturgy in the Order.
