SHOOTINGS...: "I watched this whole video. Very
sobering. I don't think that one thing is solely responsible
for mass killings in the USA, but this could certainly be a
factor that influences both the killings as wellas other
phenomena. I have known some who were helped greatly by
medication, but like most things in our society, as a psych
nurse, I have seen psych meds prescribed without precision and
in various combinations. The monied interests are of course a
factor. Also, the intolerance among the general public and our
society in general for any type of psychic pain. How would it
be if the same amount of money were spent on meditation
programs in schools and work places as for psychiatric drugs?
Some of these medicines can be valuable tools; I know some
have actually saved lives. But like most powerful tools,
including alcohol, caffeine, sugar, herbs, they are best used
sparingly and and with precision." |
