My CALL TO ALL for 10 09 2018 takes me back again to Iowa, the state of my birth, and where I spent five years attending Drake Divinity School, starting my “career” as a pastor, and beginning to raise a family. It was where I also met Dr. King and got inspired to help get the City Council of Des Moines to pass the first open housing ordinance in the state’s history. The young woman listed below could be the first female as well as the youngest ever congressperson from Iowa. I just made a donation to her campaign and hope my fellow Iowans will support her and vote for her.

Iowa state legislator
Finkenauer would become the first female House member to represent Iowa if she wins in November. At 29, she also could be the youngest woman ever elected to Congress.
She faces a male opponent in the general election.
