Dear Marsha, Shelly, and Doris,

I have very positive memories of Charles from the short time our family lived at Centrum. I experienced Charles  as trusted and respectful.  Reading your blog post, Marsha, I can easily imagine how you felt your dad’s protection as a child, such a valuable memory for any child.

Grace and Peace to you and the whole family.

Catherine and Mark Welch

Dear Order Community,

I am writing to share the news that Charles died this afternoon in Bloomington, Indiana. Charles had dementia which had progressed during the past few months. A couple of weeks ago he fell, resulting in transfer to a nursing facility where he died today.

Doris, Shelley and I, and our families, are grateful for his life in ways too numerous to say right now. At some point, when the pandemic crisis is no longer a threat, there will be a memorial service. We will share those details when plans are made. He was deeply loved and will be missed.

After his fall, I authored a blog post to my father on Just A Thought, the site my husband, Pat Moriarty, established for writing on recovery, sobriety, and general life wisdom. I share that post with you here:   https://justathoughtbypat.com/2020/03/to-my-father-by-marsha/

In gratitude,

Marsha, Shelley and Doris
