I showed those photos to a member of my family who was in the student house. He said none of that negated what he experienced, and what Marsha Hahn, Shelly Hahn, David Marshall and others have told us. As with most things, there was good and bad. But I think to try to white wash what these, our children, now grown adults who are older and perhaps wiser than we were then, have told us they experienced is worse than adding insult to injury. It’s a travesty.

Oh….. thank-you, James !!!!ed

In those hundreds of Stan Crow pics were many, many, adults that were caring for our beautiful children.

I saw Kay Hayes (Kaze), Don Hinkleman, and many others.

My niece, Mira Fisher, (Brian & Marguerite - Montreal) was a part of a fabulous rite of passage event with Jo Nelson.

Of course, don’t we all remember the Student House Mike Mays ‘Iron Man’ saga?

In the summer of ’69, I bought 6 school buses to transport the Emerging Generation to my childhood Anglican Camp Pontiac in West Quebec, an hour from Ottawa. And also to a site in Pennsylvania. (Yay, Aimée Hilliard.) Even at Camp Pontiac, many years later, I learned that there was an unseemly event. A young girl was molested.

We did the very best we could.

All is good.

Thank-you, O:E !

Along side of the injuries and abuse, my sons loved the Brussels House, all its kids, and Tim Casswell’s story telling. (80-83)

In Montreal, with their partners and their 7 kids, they live across the street from one another. They love their collectivity and care.

David Marshall and Iron Boy has reignited, once again, the “Family Order,” “Emerging Generation,” “Phase One” conversation among those of us still standing.

Prior to her death in 2019, Ann St. John became the guardian of a box of old photos representing a diverse collection of Emerging Generation history.  I am guessing this archive was the collection of Stan Crow.  Ann had the photos digitized and our daughter, Maryellen, laboriously placed each of the 800-plus photos on Dropbox which you are welcome to visit and review at this link:

Most of these photos are poor quality and have limited artistic value.  But some will evoke stories from your own memory or present the parameters of a story emerging from the content of the image.  Feel free to explore.

Grace and Peace,
