As a Face Book friend and sharer of past history of Kristen I remember her fondly as a colleague and girlfriend to many, an edge music sharer, a politically astute progressive, an engaged participant in the conservation/sustenance movement and most of all a lovely spirit child of the Mystery.

We leave her to the tender arms of the One Who Leads us on our journey into and out of an existence that calls us to be true to ourselves and to others: 

When I'm on my Journey there is no one there but me. When I'm on my journey there is no one there but me...

With prayers of thanksgiving for the sweet occasions to contemplate the gift she was to her family, contemporaries and the world,

I just spoke with Joan. She, Frank and Kyle Knutson, along with Robert, Kristen's long-time partner, have decided that, unless there is a miracle tonight, Kristen will be taken off of life support starting tomorrow morning. An MRI yesterday showed a massive stroke to the brain, and her excellent doctors see no way Kristen can survive.

Joan sang to her this morning: "How could anyone ever tell you, your are anything less than beautiful? How could anyone ever tell you you are less than whole? How could anyone fail to notice that your loving is a miracle, how deeply you're connected to my soul?
