Oof. In migration is non-stop in so many parts of the world that are experiencing systems breakdowns due to climate change and violence. Multiple myths are being promulgated (replacement theory, Dems bringing in more people to vote for them, etc.) while resources are expended by the good state of Texas on barbed wire and National Guard troops instead of functional systems to receive, determine asylum claims, and channeling folk.
Bloomberg news talks about the negative birth rate in the USA requiring a higher influx of immigration than is currently legal; politicizing the issues (including holding back any action to ‘deny a victory’ to opponents) has removed rationality from the discussion.
