Had it for the first time this year- right off the tree. In a neighboring town here ib Florida there is an Asian shop  The owner says she has the tree whuch she harvests for sale in this shop  Gooey membrane but after that is washed, the fruit is a sensual delight.

It’s my favorite food and fruit. We had a huge tree in the backyard of my parents home. The locals said it died when my father died. I think typhoon and disease killed it.
