To Nelson and Elaine

I know this is a terribly difficult time for both of you, and I pray for you. I remember how you mentored me, Elaine, when I was coming back and forth from Croatia/Bosnia, and I stayed with you and Nelson for one of the courses you were teaching. I remember Nelson as a strong partner to you. This next phase of the cancer begins, and I know he is up to it!!!

Nelson called from the hospital a while ago to let us know that he is back in….now in Intensive Care.  Then he put us onto Elaine. 

We had a lovely brief visit with them in their home this past Monday.   Things took a turn the next day or so. 

Keep them in your care as they journey through this next phase of the cancer.  I think they would appreciate hearing from colleagues.
