It appears there's hope in hemp, Isobel and Jim! It's biodegradable and can replace those ubiquitous plastic grocery store bags! They would certainly be a boon to bodies of water and shorelines around the world. I'm not sure about the cost factor though. Planting hemp might lift some farmers out of the economic doldrums. I expect to be delving deeper into the matter.
