Milan, yes, communication is key. And your poetry touched me.
I write lot of little ditties about birds or flowers I see out the window. When we moved into Assisted Living, i wrote this one.
WALKING TOGETHER
I’m walking with God
who is holding hands with me.
And Len has the other one
so here come us three.
The three of us are walking
this expansive road of life.
And we are holding tight,
through the joys and through the strife.
God is providing the umbrella,
for when the rains of life come down.
And there’s no better shelter
that could ever be found.
Yes, I’m walking with God
and I’m holding on tight.
So let the storm clouds roar,
I know I’ll be alright!

Subject: [Oe List ...] Seriously, Where are the Poets?
I need help poets, songwriters, artists! How do we communicate? How do we break through? How do we release the urgency to go viral? I know we support one another with our comments and feedback, and sometimes helpful criticism. But how do we break through. How do I get beyond my resolution, approaching my 90th BD (OMG I am almost 1/3 as old as this democratic republic) that i just want to outlive The Donald and see the return of sanity in our beloved country? Not to mention allowing our beloved earth to begin to regenerate herself, with or without us. I am attaching two more poems for any of you who want to read them and comment. What if we started a new "coffee house" movement, poetry readings at every local coffee shop and Starbucks?
