Paula, I do remember the interesting response to our wakeup call the first time I heard it in the morning – Someone yelled out the door, “Yes, but He had 3 days to do it!!”
My first assignment was rather more startling, and a wake-up call of its own. Having come with the expectation I would be helpful in the office due to my training and experience, I was handed a mop, broom and pail and told I was in charge of cleaning the buildings! Major decision I faced on the spur of the moment, on just how I was going to handle the challenge. I didn’t hold the position long – I think I was too cheerful doing the job; experienced the dampening of enthusiasm pretty much from then on, along with the great creativity of making new decisions and rethinking how the universe operates.
