Update: Two practices for one Sunday! How about that? Alas, the link to Larry’s 49th Day Ceremony was not working. Thanks to the people for sending emails letting me know.

During the live ceremony, we’ll be showing a slideshow of Larry’s life in community. If you have photos of Larry teaching with your sangha, on retreat with you, hanging out as friends, etc., please upload them to this shared drive.
We’ll meet again for another daily member practice for Larry. From Thurs, Oct 2 to Thurs, Oct 8, for 25-minutes, we’ll come together to share in song, meditation and poetry. Offering Larry, during this sacred transition, our collective energy of care, love and gratitude. But I need your help! If you’d like to offer something, please add your name to this sign-up sheet.

Once a month, we like to share one of Larry’s poems with you through these Sunday newsletters. Today, we have the title poem, and one of his original drawings, from his upcoming poetry book, Morning Night. The book will be available in early October. Stay tuned.

For Larry, “morning night” was the period between 4 and 6 a.m., when he felt the world was the most alive and tangible expression of non-dualism. And in that space, when most of us were fast asleep, Larry was at his most creative, writing many of these poems.

In the morning night,
I died for you.

Why do you look away from me?
Time is slow and fast.

Across the river,
bathing in moonlight,
with you,
passing away and arriving.

Always now,
always later.

I’ll be at the river
in the morning night.
