THANK YOU, Richard.

I have been listening to “Annie’s Song”, thinking to write words that celebrate being 80.  Fragments of lyrics floating through my being.  Then I wondered — did we write words to that tune?

I have a collection of about 600 songs — I may have gotten them  from Larry Philbrook— and it is searchable by word or line — so I searched it and found no reference to the tune or the fragments I remembered.

I was about to go through the 20 songbooks recently uploaded , assuming the pdf’s are not word searchable — at least on my phone and iPad — looking for “Annie’s Song”

Thanks. You responded just in time ….  Hey, wasn't there a song about that??

THOSE WHO CARE

Tune: Annie's Song

We know we are chosen, to be those who care,
To know our election, and be those who dare.

Refrain:
We cannot turn back now, our future is clear
To claim our election‑to be those who care.

To lay new foundations that care for mankind.
In building Fifth City, a new social sign.

A people of memories 60,000 years long.
Telling the wonders, to the land they belong.

Refrain

In the midst of the waters, a people alive,
Building a nation as the third time arrives.
Tomorrow's upon us, it's urgent to share. .
The call to all people, to be those who care.
