Isobel BishopThanks for the reports and we are relieve you were spared from major damage. Randy, Ellen, and Lynda, it’s good to hear from you and does anyone know about Rob or Marshall? What about Penny Portman? Are you ok, Penny? What about other colleagues affected by this massive storm?

______________________________________________________________________________________________Davidson, NC, north of Charlotte, checking in. The Cock family is high and dry.
Lots of heavy rain and high winds, but our area seems to be ok. Over 1 million people in Mecklenburg Co. without power, but we didn’t lose ours. Davidson is the northern edge of Mecklenburg County which is predominately Charlotte. With all the warnings, we had a bag packed In case of tree/roof damage . Asheville is about 3 hours west of us, but its mountains and creeks and rivers were greatly impacted. Swannanoa, which was named in the news clips I saw, is where Rob Work lives. Marshall Jones may be in Maggie Valley, near Asheville in those same mountains. Our college grandchildren near Raleigh and Burlington checked in ok. Heard from Mary Lou Vergara near Raleigh who was checking in on us.
Grateful for the many warnings sent out prior to the storm that reminded us to be prepared for this. Thankful for the service workers in place throughout the south and coming from the north to help with downed lines, etc.
Thanks, Bill and Mary Lou, for checking on us.
