My favorite neurologist even including the ones I have worked with in person.  Fine writing about the ways we experience life:  Awakenings, a leg to stand on, the man who mistook his wife for a hat and many more.

Thanks for notice, Steve.

Oliver Sacks died today.

He was a neurologist,  a deep explorer of the human spirit and an

imaginal educator: "Every time we practice an old skill or learn a new

one, existing neural connections are strengthened and, over time,

neurons create more connections to other neurons. Even new nerve cells

can be generated".

He wrote on the joy of life: "Above all, I have been a sentient being,

a thinking animal, on this beautiful planet, and that in itself has

been an enormous privilege and adventure."
