The Young Prophets Collective just finished their first prophetic retreat.

That leaves me wondering—

what happened to the Old Prophets?

And when did we turn into the Old Guard?

Some of us died recently. Notably Walter Bruggemann:

“We will not understand the meaning of prophetic imagination unless we see the connection between the religion of static triumphalism and the politics of oppression and exploitation,” Dr. Brueggemann wrote in “The Prophetic Imagination.”

I for one have had way more than enough of "the religion of static triumphalism and the politics of oppression and exploitation."
