Yes, Charles, Art created a 'Lay Scholars' program at the Duke Methodist Student Center modelled on the CF&LC college program. I was there from 1958 to 1962 ... that is, a MUCH younger version of me was there! Like, 18 years old going on 14, or something like that. LOL.
Art was my first mentor in my journey to the Order.

Thanks Marshall,
I have powerful memories or Art and cherish them. Some where in this ancient mind of mine, I have the memory of Art founding a Christian Faith and Life Community at Duke in the very lat 50's or early 60's. Could anyone confirm that? Whatever, he was a towering spirit of the times.

Today I received the obituary for Art Brandenburg, who was my Methodist campus pastor more than a half century ago at Duke. It was there that I first tasted the waters of the Christian Faith and Life Community. Art joined Bill Coffin in campus ministry at Yale and taught RS-1 & PLC for years with colleagues in the Boston area. And inspired me to go to seminary @ UTS and then on to 4570 W. Congress Parkway. Most of you know the rest of my story.
Today we celebrate Art's completed life with joy and sorrow.
