Last year a seminary professor asked me for a meeting. Wanted to know about oe’s religious houses…thought they could be the solution to climate change

     I have a warm spot in my heart for them but, like facilitation, etc., I have to remind myself that they were essential tools for doing the the mission, but they were never the mission. I wish the institutional church had, years ago, realized that the mission was never to build more churches or to get more people to join the church, as an end in itself or as a means to keep the institution thriving. Religious houses, as Jim said, “enabled so many other things.”

Photo archives are a mystery to me and where they are, actually.  The ICA Research Access account has quite a few old photos.  Not well organized, though we have started doing some facial recognition (faces I recognize . . .)
