Umm – my assumption is that we should all take a deep breath.  While there are substantive and deep differences at the level of both personality and policy, the common message is that we need to talk them through, not shoot the opposition.  Violence comes from the scapegoating of ‘the enemy’ as though we can achieve stability by destruction. 

My ‘prayer,’ – that we can care enough about one another and the world we live in to listen, and to understand the serious opposition is really loyal to the common core even as it is irritating and frustrating in the encounter.

Yes by all means pray to tamp down the incendiary and vitriolic discourse, and all the same pray for a chance that the Republic (not “ans”) be preserved. I still think the main originator of the latest such discourse be removed “far away from us” as I was thinking of the question the villagers in Fiddler on the Roof asked the Rabbi: “Is there a blessing for the Tzar?” After much thought the Reb prayed:; “May God bless and keep the Tzar . . . . . . .far away from us.” Certain parts of our body politic still need to be removed, but not by assassination, rather by the ballot box and the duly appointed court system of our beloved Republic. A former Attorney of the Department of Justice is talking  about hard it was to ensure the Law was carried out, under the former President’s administration.
What is the most effective wording for my Prayers for your country at this time ?
If someone takes up my question, I will pray and fast at certain times.
